...of Sara Miles' Take this Bread (which I have been working on all summer and am still only on page 40) on my flight from SFO to ORD this evening. The end of the first paragraph of the 5th chapter spoke to me so deeply I have to share it here:
"it's possible to fall in love with a revolution -- then doubt it, fight with it, lose faith in it, and return with a sense of humor and a harder, lasting love." (p. 35)
It speaks to the pain and the hope I'm feeling with the Church these days...
